We have new foal pictures from Bill's Hurricane Ranch on the FAHR foal page!
Send your online registry and 2008 foal pictures to webmaster@foundationapp.org
This message board is intended for the purpose
of marketing and promoting FAHR eligible horses, not the ICAA or ApHC.
From the generations, FAHR counts the applicant horse as the first
generation, as does the foundation Quarter Horse, Thoroughbreds,
Arabians, Morgan Horses, and Tennessee Walkers. Only the ApHC and the
ICAA counts the parents as the first generation which makes a BIG
difference when figuring percentages, and both organizations accept high
white, blue eyes, and Impressive (HYPP) blood. FAHR does not accept any
of these defects. FAHR is interested in breed recovery and breed
development. If a horse is eligible for FAHR, we want people to
understand that their horse is eligible for all other registries. It
does not work the other way around. We also do not discriminate against
solid colored Appaloosa breed horses and issue them different and
inferior paper and dictate that they not show. How can they be
evaluated! and used in a breeding program if they are disallowed to show
or put on the same level as their colored counter part? Color is not
the issue with FAHR, because it has already been repeatedly proven that
they can produce color and at 75% and above, there is a very low
percentage of NC horses being produced by FAHR anyway, and soon it will
not be an issue with FAHR at all. It is a proven fact that just because
a horse has a loud colored exterior, does not mean that it will produce
itself in kind. You can put color on a jackass, but that does not make
it an Appaloosa...it just makes it a jackass with Appaloosa
characteristics! Please refrain from using FAHR's message board for the
promotion of the ICAA or ApHC terminology. This message board belongs
to FAHR and we will no longer allow ICAA or ApHC propaganda to be
displayed on it. If you post these type of messages, we will delete
them and if you continue to disrespect FAHR in this manner, we will ban
you from using the ! FAHR message board. FAHR is the only alternative
for the original, authentic Foundation Appaloosa breed horse. Thank you
for your cooperation in this matter.
