Registering your Foundation Bred Appaloosa with the Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry protects the past, preserves the future, ensures the integrity and perpetuation of the breed.

When you register your horse with the Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry you receive a certificate of registration. A horse’s FAHR registration certificate is a validated record of its ancestry and proof that it fits the minimum FAHR requirements.

Years ago the ApHC certified the first 4,932horses to attain permanent status by production and through inspection as Foundation Appaloosas, and gave these horses the “F” prefix before their number.

The Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry’s mission is to preserve these Foundation lines. We welcome Foundation Bred Appaloosas carrying 75% or more Appaloosa blood tracing to the first eight stud books of the ApHC. Registering your Foundation Bred Appaloosa with FAHR is an important part of responsible ownership. It is an investment that shows you value and respect your horse and care about the breed

Join a tradition and be a collective part of the promotion of the beautiful Foundation Bred Appaloosa – the horse that does it all by submitting your registration today.
